BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE..........

Do the little things that make life wonderful. Smile at someone you see everyday at work. Hug your dad on your way out. Tell your brother how much you love him no matter how irritating he may be. Let your friend know what a great source of strength she's always been to you. Kiss your mom's cheek when you return home. Yes, these little gestures of affection make a difference.
You may think you dont need to 'cause the people you care about already know how you feel about them. But would a little display of affection hurt? It sure wouldn't. It could make that person's day. Just a call to ask your grandmother about her day or a little note on the refrigerator telling your wife how much you love her would be the highlight of her day. Sometimes we're so caught up with our own lives that we tend to ignore the feelings of those who really care about us. We're so occupied trying to please those who dont give a damn about us that we brush aside our loved ones. It's not that easy to give someone a hug all of a sudden if you're not accustomed to it (especially we Indians). To start it off, a few words of endearment could do it. You wont realise it now, but only when you lose the person does the realisation dawn that you had never once expressed how much you care to him/her.
Important things to follow-
Learn to say "I LOVE YOU".
It's not always meant "romantically". You love your parents, siblings, friends, relatives,boyfriend/girlfriend,dog etc etc. So let them know as often as you can. And if its not always possible, these little gestures speak those words. As you read this, dont hesitate to message a loved one. DO IT. Do it before its too late. When you love someone with a sincere heart, let them know. Even if you think it wont be reciprocated, still let them know. Cause you never know, that he/she might feel the same about you. So make it known before its too late and someone else comes along.
Learn to say "THANK YOU"
You have to learn to be grateful for everything done for you. Dont take anything for granted. Let someone know what a difference he/she makes in your life. Let them know you cherish them and that you're grateful to God for them.
Learn to say "I'M SORRY"
When you've done wrong or hurt someone, apologise for it. Dont let anger or pride take over. And when you say sorry, mean it. Do your level best not to repeat it. It takes humility and courage to apologise and when you apologise sincerely, you will be forgiven.
Learn to "LET GO"
Dont cling to the past. Dont brood over it. There's a time to mourn and then there's a time to let go. The grief will remain but there is hope. Walk ahead. Similarly, let go of grudges. Living in resentment destroys a person. Forgive. Its hard to forget, but learn to let go and forgive.Trust me, you'll find peace.
Learn to "SHARE"
Not just materialistic stuff but everything. Happiness, sorrow, fear...everything. Dont bottle up everything. Let atleast one person know every single thing there is to know about you, when you're happy, sad, afraid, hurt etc.Only after you trust him/her, that is.
And lastly, "SMILE" more often.
Its one thing that can never go wrong on anyone. Anyone who smiles looks wonderful. (I mean a nice friendly smile, not Anthony Hopkin's chilling grin in Hannibal) Smile at someone today. It feels good when your presence is acknowledged. Indifference is the worst possible attitude a human being could display. Dont ignore anybody.
Spread a little sunshine around from today before its too late.

Splendid!!! Thought-provoking!!! I am further amazed with the similarity in our thought-process. I mean this. Several times I have thought of the same and I should have typed it and let others know of it "before it's too late".

A very mature piece that explains all the golden words that perform all the magic in the world.

I think I should practice this more often. For a head start - You're a very considerate, realist and honest human being. And, it's a boon to have you as a friend.
